Privacy Policy

This policy covers schneewolflabs.com and Luna, the chat assistant at chat.schneewolflabs.com. Both are run by Schneewolf Labs ("we", "us"). Questions go to contact@schneewolflabs.com.

What we collect

When you chat with Luna, we keep:

• everything you send and everything Luna replies;
• what Luna did to answer: her reasoning, the searches she ran and the pages she read;
• when each message was sent, and messages Luna turned away (for example when she was busy);
• a random visitor ID, kept in a cookie (luna_sid, 30 days) so a conversation can continue.

We keep chat records indefinitely. Don't send Luna anything you wouldn't want us to keep, such as passwords, health or financial details, or other people's personal information.

When you use a contact form, on this site or the card Luna offers, we receive what you enter (your name, email address and message) and, for Luna's card, the conversation it came from.

When you visit, our web server logs your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser's user agent. These logs are deleted after 14 days. Luna also uses your IP address to limit how many messages one address can send. It is held in memory for at most a day and isn't saved with your conversation.

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Luna's visitor cookie is the only cookie we set.

How we use it

• to answer you, and to reply to messages you send us;
• to run, secure and fix the site and Luna, and to prevent abuse;
• to evaluate and improve Luna and our AI models, including by training models on conversations.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Where it goes

• Luna runs on our own models and hardware. Your conversation is not sent to an outside AI provider.
• The site and chat run on a server we rent from Hetzner, in the United States. Chat records are also copied to our own machines.
• When Luna searches the web, her search terms (which can include words from your message) go to search engines such as Bing, Brave and Wikipedia, and pages she reads are fetched from their sites. These requests come from our server, not your browser, and don't include your IP address or visitor ID.
• Contact form messages reach us by email and through team chat, including Discord, so those services also handle them.
• We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or others' safety.

Your choices

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email contact@schneewolflabs.com. For chats, tell us roughly when you talked to Luna and what about, so we can find the conversation. You can clear Luna's cookie in your browser at any time; Luna then starts a new conversation.

Children

The site and Luna are not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Using the site or Luna after a change means you accept the updated policy.
